Boxes are a very functional element of balcony equipment, where you can store a variety of objects. Just like trunks and balcony cabinets, whose choice is really big.
Wooden boxes
Boxes for balconies and terraces, in addition to the role of storage, often also serve as a seat. They can be used to store garden tools, chair cushions or children's toys.
Boxes made of wood look very elegant and come in the most fashionable colors, such as white or black. Wooden boxes not only look aesthetic, but are also very durable and stable. Therefore, we can sit on them or use them as a base for flowers and garden accessories. The capacity of such crates usually varies between 400 and 600 litres. We can also find boxes with various decorations, or with ready-made backrests or armrests.
Plastic crates
An alternative to wooden boxes are those made of plastics, for example polyethylene. This type of furniture can also be used as seats, but only if it is made of a very durable material. Therefore, before buying them, it is worth checking what weight they are able to carry.
Plastic boxes are lightweight, waterproof and easy to keep clean. Their manufacturers have also made sure that we have a very large selection of such boxes in terms of their colors and patterns. They are also cheaper than crates made of wood or metal, but at the same time the plastic ones are less solid or durable.
Techorattan furniture
Techorattan furniture is also very popular. This is not surprising, however, as it is a very lightweight, yet nicely presented material. Unfortunately, in addition to its advantages, low weight also has disadvantages. In most cases, furniture made of this material cannot be used as a clipboard and seat at the same time. It is worth noting, however, that techorattan is resistant to various weather conditions and is easy to keep clean. However, it does not protect against moisture, so we should not store pillows or blankets in it.
Metal cabinets
Slightly less popular are balcony cabinets made of metal. They fit perfectly into the minimalist style, are very durable and can be extremely capacious. What is very important for many people, metal cabinets usually have a safe lock, so that theft of them is less likely. Unfortunately, due to the fact that the metal is easy to heat up, boxes made of it are rather not good seats.
