It is widely used in the kitchen - thanks to its taste it is hard to imagine many traditional as well as more sophisticated dishes without it. Prepared in many ways - cooked, marinated, caramelized, prepared on a grill pan or grill pan. It is often used as an additive to give the food its character. Aromatic and warming, i.e. onion soup
He comes from France, but is also popular in Poland. In the classic version, it is most often served in baked form, accompanied by cheese toasts. Its lovers value it for its unique taste, which is obtained thanks to the beef broth and the addition of white wine. "In this dish, the onion is caramelised, which brings out the aroma even more. This soup owes its unusual taste also to spices - it is worth adding a little thyme, garlic or English herb", says Knorr chef Piotr Murawski. "In combination with croutons it is a real feast for the palate. And a good way to make croutons is to mix gruyere cheese with grated parmesan cheese,' he adds. For those who prefer a slightly milder version, it is recommended to prepare a soup made of young onion.
Onion soup with tomatoes

Ingredients:
- 4 onions
- 1 French onion soup Knorr - 1 pcs.
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 4 toasts
- 1 glass of dry white wine
- 2 tablespoons of wine vinegar
- 0,5 glasses of tomato puree
- 150 g yellow cheese
- 1 pinch of sage and thyme
- 1 tablespoon of flour
- sugar to taste
- frying fat
- 3 glasses of water
Preparation:
Cut the onions into feathers, chop 2 cloves of garlic. Glaze the onion and add the garlic to the fat.
Season with sugar, thyme and sage. Sprinkle with flour and fry.
Pour in the vinegar and fry under cover for 2 minutes. Add wine and 3 glasses of water. Boil.
Add the tomato puree and cook for 30 minutes more, seasoning.
Cut the tostas into triangles and roast in the oven. Grease the grated third cloves of garlic.
Sprinkle with oil and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake for about 6 minutes, serve to the soup.

Rice should also be used for stuffing, so that the meal will be not only valuable, but also filling. It is worth remembering to season the onion, as the onion subjected to the baking process becomes milder in taste.
Onions stuffed with mushrooms

- 1 kg onions
- 2 glasses of broth
- 1 tablespoon Delicat universal spice Knorr
- 25 dag mushrooms
- 5 dag rolls
- 1 egg
- 200 ml of milk
- half a bunch of green parsley
Preparation:
- Soak the roll in milk. As it softens, squeeze and crumble.
- Wash mushrooms thoroughly and chop finely. Combine with bread rolls, add egg and chopped parsley.
- Season the stuffing with Knorr spice to give the dish an intessive taste, and mix thoroughly.
- Prepare onions. Peel the shells and wash thoroughly. Drill each hole so that a dimple is created, which you will fill with filling.
- Arrange the stuffed onions in an ovenproof dish, pour the broth and bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
Fast and tasty onion delicacies
If you expect guests and don't want to greet someone with chips or other - not necessarily beneficial for our health - snacks, bet on onions! Not only will we take care of your home budget, but we will also surprise you with our creativity. A good solution is onion rings - rolled in a crispy coating, with the addition of a dip, e.g. from yoghurt. It is also worth mentioning the onion focacci, which is an alternative to bread and works as a delicious addition to salads or soups.
Onion rings
preparation time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:
- 3 onions
- 0,5 glasses of flour
- 30 g Spices for golden chicken Knorr
- 0,5 teaspoonfuls of baking powder
- 1 egg
- 150 ml of thick cream
- 0,5 glasses of milk
Preparation:
- Wash the onions and cut into 2 cm slices. Separation of disks.
- Mix flour, baking powder and Knorr spice, so that the discs are perfectly seasoned.
- Mix the milk and egg in another dish. Combine dry and wet components.
- Immerse the onion rings in the resulting dough. Heat the oil and fry until the discs are golden brown.
- After frying, drain the excess fat on a paper towel. Serve immediately with thick cream.
Focaccia with onions

Ingredients:
- 1 onion
- 3 pieces Spices in Mini cubes Fried onion Knorr
- 0,2 glasses of grated parmesan cheese
- 2,5 glasses of flour
- 2 teaspoons of yeast
- 1 glass of hot water
- 1 teaspoon of sage
- 0,5 glasses of oil
- 1 teaspoon of salt
Preparation:
- Sift the flour into a large bowl, then add yeast, cheese, sage and a teaspoon of salt.
- Add water and 2 tablespoons of oil.
- Make the dough and place it on a greased baking tray. Cover with a cloth and set aside in a warm place until it grows. Preheat oven to 200°C.
- Cut the onion into feathers and put it in a bowl.
- Sprinkle with olive oil and season with mini cubes of Knorr.
- Remove the cloth from the dough and knead it again with your fingers to create a large number of cavities. Now sprinkle with onion and pour all the oil over the dough so that everything dissolves on the dough and remains in the recesses. Bake at 180°C for 20-30 minutes.
- Serve the focaccia with a slightly cooled one.
