Holidays are a time of carefree and of putting aside healthy eating habits. In reality, however, this is an excellent time to abandon fatty, hard-to-digestible foods for fresh fruit and vegetables. On hot days, we should reach for light meals, and above all, remember to supply our body with a large amount of fluids.
Vegetables and fruits are an excellent summer snack, and in the company of lean meat or fish they turn into an ideal, wholesome meal. Remember to plan your meals at regular intervals (approximately every 3 hours). The main rule is not to overeat to satiety, but only to satisfy hunger with wholesome products, giving energy for the whole day.
Summer snacks
On hot days, various kinds of vegetable and fruit salads are perfect. A plate filled with fresh, crispy vegetables is an ideal summer snack, and most importantly, it is very healthy. We also recommend various kinds of vegetable soups served cold, such as a cooler or Spanish gazpacho soup. Fruits are a tasty alternative to unhealthy, fatty and stressful snacks, and most importantly, they perfectly hydrate the body. A chilled watermelon or melon is salvation when heat is pouring from the sky.
When you feel like dessert
Summer is always associated with fresh, colourful, fragrant fruit. This is an ideal period for inclusion in a regular diet of these vitamin bombs. The best, great cooling dessert are sorbets, which you can conjure up from virtually any fruit. Preparation of sorbet is very easy and fast, so it is worth to use seasonal treasures to make your family a tasty and healthy surprise. In addition to sorbets, we also recommend various types of cocktails, both fruit and vegetable, as well as frozen yoghurt, of course in the company of your favorite fruits.
