A typical cyclist is a seasonal cyclist: he pulls out the bike when the good weather starts. Year-round cyclists can look at it with superiority. On the other hand, they are considered to be weirdoes. In fact, the difference between the two types of cyclists is very small.
Three ways for a year-round cyclist
It usually starts with recreational driving in childhood. You get on it in early spring, as soon as winter lets go, although you can still see some snow remnants. Sometimes a young man in such a situation gets snow and in this simple way the cyclist starts to become a year-round cyclist. He simply notes that this accidental winter trip was not so bad at all.
For many people the transformation into a year-round cyclist comes much later. They are regular seasonal cyclists who simply use bicycles because it is a convenient way to get to school or work. They try to ride only in nice weather, because they cannot get dirty. But what to do when it was nice in the morning and in the evening it's already raining or snowing? You can either leave your bike at school or at work or get on it and see that there was no reason to be afraid to ride in such conditions. A good mudguard and the right clothes are enough.
Transforming into a year-round cyclist can also be linked to the construction of a horizontal bike. This is a bit more advanced and you have to learn how to ride, but once we do it, it turns out that our machine is extremely stable and good for driving in all conditions. You may even be surprised, because when you first ride such a bike in difficult conditions, you will find that it is more stable even thancars.
Only happiness
Happiness is, of course, one factor, but it is by far the most significant. If a seasonal cyclist doesn't ride too often, he probably hasn't been lucky enough to get into bad weather. Happiness, because if it had happened, he would have the opportunity to see that unfavourable driving conditions are only euphemism, which has little to do with reality. These are certainly unorthodox conditions for driving, but are they really unfavourable? Rather not.
Practically every cyclist who encounters bad weather becomes a year-round cyclist, as long as the bicycle is an important means of transport for him/her. Most of us remain seasonal cyclists, but when you have to become a year-round cyclist for some time, there are no special fears or reservations.
